Mentor

Your mentor has always been there. They’ve traveled with you, taught you, and protected you from the forces that chase you both. Maybe they even raised you. There was some part of you that assumed, however unreasonably, that they would always be there.

But suddenly they’re gone. Your mentor, once so formidable in your eyes, has been captured. You've figured out where they’re being held: a labyrinthine compound belonging to the very foes you’ve been running from, filled with death traps in every room and threats around every corner.

You don’t have much time. Now it’s your mentor who needs you, and you’re going to show them what you can do. But finding them is only half the journey. Escaping could be harder still.

Mentor is a solo TTRPG that combines dungeon crawling, journaling, and a story about the evolution of a relationship. You will break into the dungeon where your mentor is being held, face the dangers within, and then, once you nd your mentor, brave your escape. You’ll also reflect on your history with your mentor and use the skills they’ve taught you to navigate your way through.

This game can potentially feature themes of death, loss, and violence. Play mindfully and feel free to avoid prompts you and unduly distressing. Mentor can also be modded as a 2-player game in which one player is the mentor trying to nd their way out of the dungeon; or it can be used to plot out dungeons for other games.

What You Need To Play Mentor:

•  One 6-sided dice
• A standard set of playing cards, jokers included
• A journal and something to write with
